For the First Time in Moscow

s many as three 6-Series cars could be seen at Vorobyevy Gory place near by the Moscow State University in the weekend April, 19th, 2003.

For the time being I know about seven 6-Series cars in Moscow, capable to move. But only three coupes could arrive to this meeting: 1982 635 CSi, the middle 80s Burgundrot 635 CSi, and mine 1985 635 CSi.

The most interesting moment of the meeting was the dragrace of 635 with an automatic gearbox and manual 635. The fresher one (automatic) has won though the lag was not very big. The advantage revealed basically at the start when it was important not to let driving wheels to skid. But even the wide rear rubber (265) did not save the situation — the drivers got nervous, and a roar of engines and smoke from under the wheels have run through the air.

I was very glad to meet with everybody and hope that we'll make our meetings regular.
